Hi! My name is Ashley, I am A Mom of 2 divine boys .I've been following the beat of my own &outside the lines, since the day I arrived here. Once becoming a mother, I just incorporated that into my style of mothering. Kolor Me Mama was planted in my, during a 1 month stay in during the Global Pandemic, with my 10 month old at the time (Bridge) & my husband. One of the best travel decisions I've ever made, especially during a time when traveling was so taboo. KMM was born out of my passion for Black Families seeing the with their black children. There is an entire world out there,designed so beautifully by God. WE NEED TO EXPLORE IT. Having children is not a reason to stop traveling. The way I see it, children will be children, NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE. Would you rather deal with a tantrum stuck in rush hour traffic, or while on a boat to Zanzibar? On this page I will share my own travel inspo,trips, &tips for traveling with children. What you SHOULD KNOW: I am NOT a SM Influencer- My full-time job is a TV/Film. I am not always frequent with my posts. But when I do, it's to help give any travel Inspo and advice I can, because I am passionate about US traveling, especially US with children. NOT a flex traveler- I am not knocking this at all. It's just not me. I find a lot of the travel space has become about stunting, luxury & how much you have. In fact, it promotes too much consumerism, which plagues our community ( but that's another topic.) I am a slow traveler. Don't let these people lie to you! Traveling with children is NOT easy, but worth it Because of the age of my children, & my nature, to create my atmosphere ( fancy way of saying I am a bag lady), I rarely do quick trips ( if it's international). It's too tiring. I like to stay in other countries for a minimum of 3 weeks ( if I can) and soak up the culture. Though travel is a huge component of this page, it does not make it whole. I will share alternative education info & inspo, natural remedies, &more.
